Concrete Seawall

Today, most new and replacement seawalls are made by driving vinyl sheet piles down into the seabed and backfilling them with concrete. The seawall cap is then formed over the top of the vinyl sheet piles and epoxy coated seawall tieback bars are tied into the steel cage and the whole bulkhead cap is poured in concrete.

Provencher Piers concrete seawalls are pre-cast panels made with high strength concrete. We use prestressed, concrete piles driven by a barge and crane. After piles and panels are installed a concrete cap is constructed with a reinforced structural steel cage, per engineer specifications. All new seawall caps are built with champfered edges, light broom finish and fibermesh additive to retard cracking and corrosion.
